When Year 7 students were asked to create models of the solar system for their science homework, they were clearly inspired to aim for the stars!

Space Camp 2017
This year’s Space Camp was out of this world! Year 7 students were treated to a whole day off their usual timetable to celebrate the STEM subjects as Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths in a fun day of learning and space adventure. Teachers developed activities in each of the subject areas on the theme of space.

In Technology, students were tasked with creating a vessel to successfully land an egg on another planet with, admittedly, varying degrees of success!
The day ended with a fantastic presentation by the talented teachers from the Science Department culminating in a spectacular rocket launch.
It just goes to show, the sky really is the limit for Westleigh’s students!
