For this year's Sports Day, the weather may have been mild , but the rivalry was as fierce as ever!

In an Olympics style Opening Ceremony, students paraded as the nations of the world before being treated to a performance by our BTEC Dance students. The competition kicked-off with a host of track and field events with students displaying great determination as form competed against form to win coveted trophies.

Mr Birtles, Head of PE, said, “It was great to see students working as a group in such a competitive, but supportive atmosphere.”
The staff team tried their best to beat the Y11 students, but were beaten to the finish line.  However, in the staff versus staff contest, Mr Nichols managed to outrun Mr Bramwell, followed closely by Miss Brown and Mr Ashton.

The day culminated with an awards ceremony where all differences and rivalries were set aside to congratulate the victors on their achievements.   The form captains from each winning form were presented with their Winner’s Trophies to mark the end of the ceremony.
Another brilliant effort by everyone competing in The Westleigh Way Games!
